Osman Kavala comments on the charges against him

Osman Kavala sent a message via his lawyers from Silivri. Kavala has expressed surprise at the unfounded accusations against him.
 
Kavala, saying, “I find the claims that link me with FETO and the 15 July coup attempt even more odd,” commented, “With it manifest that I am one who has been opposed to coups for his entire life and who has attempted to alert the public to the negative nature of FETO’s formation within the state, I greet the raising of such a charge against me with astonishment. I wish to state that I have taken the appropriate legal action over reports to this effect. Despite everything, my belief that the new year will be a better year for democracy and freedoms is unabashed.”
