UNEMPLOYMENT AND INFLATION

Compounded by inflation, poverty has risen to its highest level in five years in Turkey, where the unemployment rate has surpassed 11%. The poverty index in Turkey, which stood at 19.11% in 2015, reached 19.83% last year. The index shows poverty in Turkey to be three times that in the USA and two and a half times higher than the OECD index.
