The government, having already provided for the closure of television stations that fail to comply with state of emergency decrees with the force of law and broadcasting bans, has embarked on a further censorship measure. Instructions have been given as to how broadcasting is to be conducted under ‘extraordinary circumstances’ to TV managers who were summoned to the Radio and Television Supreme Council at the behest of the Prime-Ministry.
SOMETHING HAPPENED SOMEWHERE!
According the Radio and Television Supreme Council’s instructions, following an ‘extraordinary’ incident, ambulances and fire engines, witness accounts and footage of officials at work will not be screened. Information as to where the incident occurred and maps showing the scene of the incident will not even be revealed.
