Mustafa M. turned up at İskenderun State Hospital, Ahmet Ş. at Mersin City Hospital and
Halid Memduh at Adana City Hospital with fake IDs and asked for treatment, saying they
had been injured by bombs fired by the Assad regime. It was established through an
intelligence investigation by the intelligence agency that the suspects were members of the IS
terrorist organisation. The three terrorists were arrested in Adana and Mersin and taken to
police premises. With Halid Memduh placed in detention by the court he was brought before,
the other two IS members’ police procedures are continuing.
