The CHP’s Deputy General Chair Bülent Tezcan has said, ‘We are bringing proceedings before the Council of State today seeking cancellation of the Supreme Election Council’s procedure deeming unstamped voting slips valid.’ Tezcan said the following in a written statement he made, noting that the statement of claim would be submitted to the Council of State today:

‘We are bringing proceedings before the Council of State today seeking cancellation of the Supreme Election Council’s procedure deeming unstamped voting slips valid. We are also seeking a stay order to prevent the referendum results from attaining finality until the end of the proceedings. Our lawyer Atilla Kart will make the necessary comments at 4 pm in front of the Supreme Election Council after he has submitted the statement of claim to the Council of State. We will continue our legal battle until the end defend the rights of our 49 million citizens who voted, regardless of whether they supported ‘no’ or ‘yes.’
