The probe into DİTİB employees in Germany widens
cumhuriyet.com.trAllegations that imams affiliated with the Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs in Germany (DİTİB) ‘collected information’ about FETO followers have begun to be investigated in the state of Lower Saxony following North Rhine-Westphalia. It is noteworthy that the probe started after Merkel’s visit.
With DİTİB officials confirming the investigation, Interior Minister Thomas de Maizière has said, ‘We do not wish for the internal dispute in Turkey between the government and the Gülen movement to spill over into Germany. We will not permit violence, spying or surveillance in Germany.’
