Photograph emerges of assailants on Aysel Tuğluk’s mother’s funeral with Interior Minister Soylu

A photograph taken at the police station alongside Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu has emerged of Murat Alp, one of the assailants on the funeral of HDP Deputy Co-Chair Aysel Tuğluk's mother, Hatun Tuğluk.

Following the attack on Aysel Tuğluk's mother’s funeral by a fifty-person racist group, Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu said that he went to site of the incident and got involved in the affair and personally supervised the arrests of the assailants. But, it has emerged that the arrested assailants took photographs with Süleyman Soylu at the police station that night and posted them on social media.

With Soylu saying, “The arrests are continuing,” it was stated that seven of these individuals, known to everyone living in İncek, were arrested and released by the public prosecution, while nine people could not be found!

The provincial governate has deemed the incident to be “harassment”.

In 2007, a photograph emerged of Ogün Samast, who murdered Armenian journalist Hrant Dink, in front of a Turkish flag with the policemen at the police station.
