Paper removed from circulation due to ‘Sexual abuse’ news

Following our report on the son of the AKP’s Mayor of Adıyaman Gölbaşı Municipality, Erdem Özdemir, being remanded in custody for ‘child sexual abuse,’ Cumhuriyet newspaper was unobtainable in Adıyaman city and its sub-provinces. An employee of the distribution company said, ‘A person went round the newsagents in the province and bought up all the copies.’
