Let seals die, let’s go nuclear

The commission of experts in the lawsuit brought in opposition to the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Station has issued a scandalous report. It has been determined in the report that Mediterranean seals will be under threat from the construction of the power station and afterwards, but these circumstances are no obstacle to the power station being constructed.
Lawyer Deniz Bayram, coordinator of the Greenpeace Mediterranean Climate and Energy Campaigns, criticised the report. Bayram said, ‘Accordingly, the company will check if there are seals in caves before conducting explosions. Mediterranean seals have been casually entrusted to the company.’
