Journalist’s Valentines Day

Twenty-one journalists who acted as serving general publishing directors in solidarity for the Özgür Gündem newspaper will appear before a judge today at Çağlayan. Twelve of the indictments against the 36 journalists who took part in the campaign were drafted by Republic Prosecutor Murat İnam, himself undergoing prosecution in the FETO case. The journalists will answer charges of printing and propagating terrorist organisation announcements and making propaganda on behalf of a terrorist organisation.
