Journalism squeezed by the government and judiciary

The Independent Communication Network (BİA) has released its three-monthly media observation report. According to the report, as of 1 January, 131 journalists were imprisoned, 54 journalists’ assets had been seized and 24 media outlets had been closed. It is stated in the report that the two biggest obstacles faced by journalism are the government and judiciary.
