Jazzing up the state of emergency

The AKP appears to be heralding a plan to hold the referendum under state of emergency conditions by basing its electoral rhetoric on the fight against terrorism. The referendum pamphlet is signalling that the state of emergency will not be lifted. It is proposed in the pamphlet that, ‘State of emergency conditions will ensure that the free will of citizens is reflected in the ballot box.’
