He has turned the ‘bomb’ into evidence

It has emerged that President Erdoğan based the crime report he made in 2014 against a group of Gulenists including the defendant in the Dink trial, Ali Fuat Yılmazer, on the book The Imam’s Army by our paper’s reporter Ahmet Şık currently on remand accused of FETO/PYD involvement.

We are reminded in the crime report that Ahmet Şık was detained for writing about Gülen and public servants close to him. In fact, Erdoğan appeared on a TV programme at the time and approved Şık’s detention, saying, ‘There are kinds of books that are more dangerous than bombs.’
