Cumhuriyet was ISIL’s first target

ISIL member Masharipov, who bathed the Reina night club in blood on New Year’s Eve, is alleged to have said in his statement that his first target that evening was Cumhuriyet newspaper. The CHP’s Barış Yarkadaş has brought the matter before parliament and has addressed the question, ‘What are you waiting for before you take precautions?’ to Interior Minister Soylu. Our paper’s lawyers have also applied to the provincial governate for protective measures to be increased.
