CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has described Erdoğan, Yıldırım and Bahçeli, who are conducting the ‘Yes’ campaign in the referendum, as the ‘Trio with serious desertion in their wake.’ Kılıçdaroğlu said that Turkey will say ‘No’ on 16 April and ‘Undersign a second turning point in the Republic’s history.’
Kılıçdaroğlu, saying that the basic hallmark of the ‘No’ campaign will be pluralism, commented, ‘The common denominator in a democracy is that it unites around a pluralistic structure. There is a large mass having different political views but that says ‘No’ in defence of democracy against a single-man regime.
PARALLELISM WARNING
Kılıçdaroğlu took a strong position on attempts by Eroğan’s son’s father-in-law, Orhan Uzuner, to create an organisation: ‘The people have seen what a parallel state is and the heavy price that this comes with. Let nobody attempt to create a new parallel state.’
