Halkbank’s Deputy CEO Mehmet Hakan Atilla has been remanded in custody in the USA in connection with the Reza Zerrab case. A forty-page report prepared by the FBI was submitted to the court in evidence. According to the report, Atilla and Zerrab had been under surveillance since 2013.The pair are accused of engaging in illegal transactions worth hundreds of billions of dollars.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said with regard to Atilla being remanded, ‘It appears to have been prepared in advance.
