AMERICAN ARMOURED VEHICLES IN MANBIJ

With confusing reigning over who will take part in the Raqqa operation against ISIL, moves aimed at sidelining Ankara in Manbij take on added significance. Armoured vehicles displaying US flags entered Manbij the day before yesterday and positioned themselves to prevent conflict between the Turkish Armed Forces-Free Syrian Army and the Syrian Democratic Forces. The USA, giving the message that all forces in the region should focus on ISIL, announced that they were in the region, ‘To repel hostile actions and guarantee that there would be no permanent YPG presence.’
