The AKP has used a document disclosed by the CHP and that it branded “false” as a “true document” in the booklet it has compiled to rebut the CHP’s “Isle of Man documents”. The document, which was posted on certain Twitter account and is touted as being “true,” numbers among the documents that the CHP disclosed. On the “true document” contained in the booklet in which it is asserted that the maker of the fund transfers, Bellway Limited, is a company established in Turkey, the company’s address is seen to be in the UK.

The AKP has compiled a booklet entitled, “Information file on the trial in the USA and the CHP’s groundless accusations.” The booklet also expounds on CHP General Chair Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu’s allegations surrounding what are known as the “Isle of Man documents”.

With reference to the documents that were made known and distributed to the press, it is stated in the booklet, which employs the description “suicide bomber with FETO settings” for Kılıçdaroğlu, that they were included among “posts made by the FETOist named Said Sefa, determined to be the user of the account named Fuat Avni, on his own Twitter account on 27 May 2017” and these documents were later uploaded to the website named “theblacksea.eu”.

It is said in the booklet, “The true documents in this respect were posted on the same day on certain Twitter accounts on social media. It thus transpires that the documents FETO pressed into Kılıçdaroğlu’s hand are false.”

However, there was no comment as to which Twitter user the document described as being the “true document” was posted by and whether this was an officially authorised person. The two-page document that the AKP has included in the booklet numbers among the documents that the CHP distributed to the press and disclosed on its website. The sole difference is that, as opposed to the CHP’s version, the field where the name “Mustafa Erdoğan” appears is blacked out.

 Address in the UK

It is said in the booklet that, “It transpires that in the true documents the fund transfers took place between the two Turkish banks of Türkiye Halk Bankası and Albaraka Türk. The company making the transfer, on the other hand, was Bellway Limited, established in Turkey.” However, on the two documents in the booklet, Bellway Limited’s address is shown as being “First Floor Jubilee Buildings, Victo 9999-England-GB”. In the booklet, in which it is noted that the CHP alleges, ‘The funds first go abroad and then return to Turkey,’ the truth, conversely, is stated to be that, “Since the transfer was in dollars, transfer approval is obtained from the USA because the authority for the dollar currency is the US banks.”
